Version Name Change
This release introduces a new version naming convention that is used going forward for Juno EMR updates. The new release version starts with 1.1.0, consisting of 3 numbers separated by dots using the following format:
MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH
The Major number is incremented when a major release involving incompatible API changes is made available. This number is not expected to change for the foreseeable future.
The Minor number is incremented when new functionality is added to the system, such as Improvements to existing functionality, new features, or bug fixes. This will occur on a regular basis as new improvements are delivered. For example, 1.2.0, 1.3.0, 1.4.0, etc.
The Patch number is incremented only when time critical bug fixes or improvements are introduced. The Patch number is updated when a quick release is desired to hotfix or patch an urgent issue. For example, 1.1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3, etc.
Central Patient Attachment Registry Integration
We’re excited to launch a pilot of Juno’s integration with Alberta Health’s Central Patient Attachment Registry (CPAR). This feature allows you to:
- Assign patients to provider panels directly in Juno
- Manage panels (add, edit, or remove patients) with just a few clicks
- Automatically submit panel data to Alberta Health monthly, with the option for manual submissions when needed
- Be eligible for the Primary Care Physician Compensation Model (PCPCM)
Why this matters
This integration saves time by reducing duplicate entry into Alberta Health systems, eliminates the frustration of manual panel reporting, and supports better continuity of care by keeping provider-patient relationships clear and up to date.
Next Steps
Currently, the CPAR integration is available to select clinics as part of the Limited Production Release (LPR) with Alberta Health. We’ll be following up soon with an update on when it will be available to all Juno Alberta clinics.
In the meantime, clinics are encouraged to ensure Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Provincial Organization Readiness Assessments (PORA) are to up date.
Historically, outdated PIA and PORA have caused CPAR onboarding delays, so staying up to date will help ensure a more timely onboarding process.

Investment in Analytics & In-App Engagement
As part of our ongoing focus on customer experience and improving Juno EMR, we have added tools that helps us better understand how you use Juno, and present you with relevant information to support you in using your EMR.
These tools allow us to:
- Learn how you interact with Juno EMR day to day
- Engage with everyone using Juno EMR individually
- Make better informed decisions that improve your experience with Juno EMR
- Communicate product updates and other news more effectively
Why This Matters for Your Practice
Previously, we could only learn about users’ experiences through direct conversations or screen-sharing sessions, a very intrusive process that only reaches a very small number of users. Now, we can automatically identify common workflows, track down and remove frustrations, and ultimately enhance the overall experience for all users faster.
What Information is Collected?
Essentially the software tracks what you click on and what pages you visit in Juno EMR. This creates “usage pathways” that show us the steps you take to complete tasks, how long it takes, and where you may be experiencing frustration.
It does not collect any Personal Health Information or data related to patients that you enter into Juno EMR, and it does not collect or monitor anything related to the quality of care you are providing.
How This Benefits You?
As we make new features or improvements, you’ll see:
- Streamlined interfaces based on how people are using the EMR
- Fewer click and less scrolling for common tasks
- Improved workflows designed for efficiency
New In-App Engagement
You will also occasionally receive communication from us about:
- New features or improvements that might benefit you
- Tips to help you use Juno EMR more effectively
- Brief surveys to provide us with your feedback
We will limit these messages to prevent disruption and show them only when it’s relevant to your work.
Privacy Choice
We are committed to transparency and user choice. If you have questions about how we use product analytics to improve your experience—or if you'd like to request to opt out of usage tracking—you can do so by filling out our quick form here:
Your feedback and preferences are important to us, and our product team will get back to you as soon as possible.
Improvements
Updated OLIS Nomenclature to v.2.93
We've updated our OLIS integration to support the latest OLIS nomenclature standards (version 2.93). This ensures accurate processing and mapping of results. OLIS results will process more reliably with fewer mapping errors or delays.
Cross-Facility Lab Result Trending
Added support for tracking lab values over time even when results come from different lab facilities or formats (ex. MDS and Excelleris). When viewing patient lab history, you'll see trending for equivalent tests (like ALT) regardless of which lab facility processed them if they share the same LOINC.
Alberta Connect Care Fall Update
Updated Alberta Connect Care eDelivery Document Note routing in alignment with Connect Care's Fall Update, preventing duplicate reports from being sent to authors or primary care practitioners.
Bug Fixes
Excelleris Ontario Lab Document Display
Fixed issue where specific embedded PDF documents weren't displaying properly in Excelleris Ontario lab reports.
Excelleris Ontario Lab Matching
Excelleris Ontario lab reports now automatically route to the correct patients and providers without manual intervention, ensuring accurate patient records and faster result processing.
