The appointment counter is a feature that can be enabled and configured in your user settings or preferences. When enabled, it will show the number of appointments booked for the day at the top of the schedule page. You can configure which appointments are to be included in the counter as well. Read on to find out how to enable and configure the appointment counter on both the Juno and the Classic interfaces!


Juno Interface

To enable and configure your appointment counter in the Juno interface, go through the following steps:

  1. In Juno EMR, click on your name at the very top right of the window.

  2. In the menu opening underneath, click on the ‘User Settings’ option. This will open your user settings, or preferences.

  3. Navigate to the ‘Schedule’ tab of your user settings. The tabs are located at the top of the page, just under the blue ‘User Settings’ header.

  4. At the bottom right of the page, locate the appointment counter section. It looks like this:
     
  5. If it is not already, check the box under ‘Enable Counter’. It is identified in red in the screenshot above for ease of reference. This will enable the counter and allow you to view the other options to adjust your configuration.

  6. By default, the counter includes appointments associated with a patient that do not have the status ‘Cancelled’ or ‘No Show’. To include appointments that are not included in the default, check the appropriate box underneath the 'Enable Counter' option.

  7. When done, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the ‘Save All Settings’ to save your changes.


Classic Interface

To enable and configure your appointment counter in the Classic interface, go through the following steps:

  1. In Juno EMR, click on the ‘Preferences’ link at the top of the screen. It is located between the ‘Consultations’ and the ‘eDoc’ headers.

  2. Scroll down until you locate the ‘Set Appointment Count Preferences’ link and click on it. It is the third link from the bottom of the list. This will open the Appointment Count Preferences window which looks like this:


  3. If it is not already, check the box under ‘Enable Counter’. This will enable the counter and allow you to interact with the other options to adjust your configuration.

  4. By default, the counter includes appointments associated with a patient that do not have the status ‘Cancelled’ or ‘No Show’. To include appointments that are not included in the default, check the appropriate box(es) underneath the 'Enabled' option.

  5. When done, click on the ‘Submit’ button to save the changes. You will need to refresh your schedule page to see the changes applied.
